Brian Henderson
After an active sporting life as a Scottish Rugby Internationalist in the '60s (and that's old, even for a Scottish Internationalist!), Brian retired early, at the age of 27, never having been dropped. He also played for the Barbarians, the Scottish Co-optimists and the Irish Wolfhounds.

	At the age of 57, Brian walked solo and unsupported from Land's End to John O'Groats, covering 920 miles in 38 days and raising a substantial sum for charity. A keen golfer, he is a member of the oldest golf club in the world and dresses accordingly. As a Scot, he had to give up playing a year or two ago when he lost his ball.

Brian Henderson was the principal speaker at The Saints and Sinners Club of Scotland's annual lunch and I've never laughed so much since Glasgow was declared Europe's City of Culture
